Salesforce is the system of record for many sales teams. Connecting it lets the Brain place every call, email and meeting on the right opportunity and account, and answer pipeline questions with the CRM facts next to the conversation.

What it adds to your Brain

Fivo reads your Salesforce opportunities and what hangs off them:

  • The opportunity: name, stage, amount, close date, owner and the account it belongs to, with the account's website.
  • The contacts on the opportunity (contact roles), with name and email.
  • Notes attached to the opportunity (enhanced notes).
  • Logged tasks and activities, where Salesforce's activity subtype tells a call from an email from a meeting.
  • Chatter posts on the opportunity.

Each opportunity becomes a thread, and the notes, activities and posts on it are placed there with their author and date. An example question: "Which open opportunities on accounts in the UK have had no activity logged in the last 30 days?"

Before you start

  • You need a Salesforce user with API access and visibility over the opportunities you want Fivo to read. Depending on your org's connected-app policies, an administrator may need to approve the app the first time.
  • When you approve Fivo, Salesforce asks permission to access your data through the API, to know your identity, and to keep the connection alive without asking you to sign in again. The same API access is what lets Fivo create a task in Salesforce when you share a meeting report or action items; reading for the Brain never writes anything.
  • If your org never enabled enhanced notes, there are no notes to read; everything else still works.

Step by step

  1. Open Integrations in the app and choose Salesforce.
  2. Click Connect. Salesforce opens its sign-in page.
  3. Sign in, and approve the access Fivo requests.
  4. Fivo confirms the connection and records your Salesforce org on its own.
  5. Optionally, choose a user under Assign to. This is the Salesforce user tasks are assigned to when you share action items from a meeting. It does not limit what the Brain reads.

What happens next

Fivo starts reading your opportunities, newest changes first, together with their notes, activities and Chatter posts. Watch the Salesforce source in the AI Brain view move from queued to reading to done.

Salesforce does not offer a webhook that Fivo can register, so new activity arrives on the regular sync pass: each pass asks Salesforce for what changed since the last one. You will not see a change the second it happens, but nothing is skipped.

Who can see what: with organization scope, Salesforce material is readable by the people who are active Salesforce users in the org, matched by email to your organization's members. Fivo does not evaluate Salesforce sharing rules at record level, so a user who cannot open a given record in Salesforce is still counted as a reader. Keep this in mind when choosing scope. See Permissions: what your Brain can see.

Disconnect

Open Integrations, select Salesforce and click Disconnect. Fivo stops reading and deletes the stored credentials. What the Brain already learned stays in the graph; connecting the same org again resumes reading. To remove Salesforce material from the graph, use Remove from graph on the Salesforce source in the AI Brain view.

Troubleshooting

  • "Reconnect to read". The refresh token was revoked or expired, for example after a password reset or an admin revoking the connected app. Click Reconnect and sign in again.
  • Nothing appears yet. A first read of a large org takes several passes. If the source shows "Queued to read", it has not started; if it shows reading, let it finish.
  • Notes are missing but opportunities are there. Your org may not have enhanced notes enabled, or the notes are attached to other objects. Fivo reads notes linked to opportunities.
  • A change is not visible yet. Salesforce is read periodically, not live. Wait for the next pass.
