If you recorded calls with Fathom before Fivo, you do not have to start from zero. Connecting Fathom brings those calls into your graph, and keeps bringing new ones as Fathom records them.

What it adds to your Brain

Each call Fathom recorded for you becomes one item in your graph: its title, when it took place, the full transcript with speaker names inline, the people who attended, and a link back to the recording in Fathom. From it Fivo extracts the same things it extracts from its own meeting reports: decisions, commitments, people and the companies and projects they concern.

Fathom matches speakers to the calendar invitees of the call, so attendees carry their email address and are recognised as the same people elsewhere in your graph.

Only calls recorded by the account you connect are read. A Fathom key can also see recordings colleagues shared with you; Fivo deliberately leaves those out, so nothing that belongs to someone else lands in your personal graph.

Before you start

You need a Fathom account and an API key created in it. Fathom's API access depends on your Fathom plan; check in Fathom whether your plan can create API keys.

Fathom feeds your personal graph. Any Fivo member can connect their own Fathom account.

Fivo asks you for two things: the API key, which it checks with Fathom before saving and never shows again, and the email address of your Fathom account. Fathom's API does not tell Fivo who owns a key, so you declare it; Fivo uses it to keep the import to your own recordings.

Step by step

  1. In Fathom, create an API key from your account settings and copy it.
  2. Open Integrations in app.fivo.ai and find Fathom under Meetings.
  3. Click Connect. Fivo explains that you should paste an API key you created in your Fathom account.
  4. Paste the key in the API key field and enter your Fathom account email, then click Continue.
  5. Fivo checks the key with Fathom. If Fathom rejects it, correct the key and try again. When it is accepted, Fivo confirms that Fathom is connected.

What happens next

Fivo reads your past recordings, asking Fathom for each call's transcript one at a time, and shows progress in the AI Brain view.

Fivo also registers a webhook with Fathom for your own recordings, so a call recorded after connecting arrives as soon as Fathom finishes it, transcript included, without waiting for a scheduled read.

Who sees what: only you. Calls imported from Fathom feed your personal graph. When you ask a question in the organization graph, Fivo combines it with your personal one, so facts from these calls appear next to the team's without becoming visible to anyone else. See Permissions: what your Brain can see.

Disconnect

Open Integrations, select Fathom and click Disconnect. Fivo removes the stored key and stops importing. You can also revoke the API key in Fathom; Fivo then marks the source as needing to be reconnected.

Troubleshooting

  • "Fathom rejected this key." The key was pasted incompletely or has been revoked in Fathom. Create a new one and try again.
  • Nothing is read after connecting. The account email you entered does not match the account that made the recordings. Disconnect and connect again with the right email.
  • A call a colleague shared with you is missing. Expected: only calls recorded by your own account are imported.
  • New recordings stop arriving. The webhook may have been removed in Fathom. Disconnect and connect again to register it anew.
