Teams that used Fireflies.ai before Fivo have months of transcribed calls already. Connecting Fireflies brings them into your graph so it starts with history, and keeps importing new calls as Fireflies transcribes them.
What it adds to your Brain
Each call Fireflies transcribed for you becomes one item in your graph: its title, when it took place, the full transcript with speaker names inline, the attendees Fireflies knows the email of, and a link back to the transcript in Fireflies. Fivo extracts from it what it extracts from its own reports: decisions, commitments, people and the companies and projects they concern.
Only your own calls are read. A Fireflies key held by a workspace admin can list the whole team's meetings; Fivo asks Fireflies only for the calls that belong to the key's owner, so nobody else's meetings land in your personal graph.
Before you start
You need a Fireflies.ai account and an API key created in it. Fireflies keeps its API keys in the account's integrations settings; API access and request limits depend on your Fireflies plan.
Fireflies feeds your personal graph. Any Fivo member can connect their own account.
Fivo asks for the API key, which it checks with Fireflies before saving and never shows again. Fivo verifies the key by asking Fireflies who owns it; the owner's email becomes the account the connection reads. Optionally, you can also give Fivo a webhook secret so new calls arrive live (see below).
Step by step
- In Fireflies, create an API key and copy it.
- Open Integrations in app.fivo.ai and find Fireflies.ai under Meetings.
- Click Connect. Fivo explains that you should paste an API key you created in your Fireflies account.
- Paste the key in the API key field. The Fireflies webhook secret field is optional; fill it in if you want live updates (step 6). Click Continue.
- Fivo checks the key with Fireflies. A key Fireflies does not accept is refused and not saved. When accepted, Fivo confirms the connection and fills in your Fireflies account for you.
- To receive new calls as they happen, Fivo shows a Webhook URL. Paste that URL as the webhook destination in your Fireflies dashboard, and enter the same secret you configured there in the webhook secret field in Fivo.
What happens next
Fivo reads your past transcripts page by page and shows progress in the AI Brain view. The reading window is fixed when the import starts, so a call recorded while the import runs is not lost: it comes in through the webhook, or on the next scheduled read.
When the webhook is set up, Fireflies notifies Fivo as soon as a transcript is ready, and Fivo reads that call back immediately.
Who sees what: only you. Calls imported from Fireflies feed your personal graph. When you ask a question in the organization graph, Fivo combines it with your personal one. See Permissions: what your Brain can see.
Disconnect
Open Integrations, select Fireflies.ai and click Disconnect. Fivo removes the stored key and secret and stops importing. Remove the webhook in your Fireflies dashboard as well, otherwise Fireflies keeps sending notifications that Fivo now ignores.
Troubleshooting
- "Fireflies.ai did not accept the key." The key is wrong, revoked, or Fireflies could not tell Fivo who owns it. Create a new key in Fireflies and try again.
- New calls do not arrive live. Check that the Webhook URL shown in Fivo is the destination in your Fireflies dashboard and that the secret matches on both sides.
- A teammate's call is missing. Expected: only calls that belong to the connected account are imported.
- The import stops early. Fireflies limits API requests per plan. The import resumes on its own when the limit resets.
