You can ask the Brain in two places: inside Fivo, in the AI Brain view, or from an assistant connected over MCP. The questions are the same. The difference is where you are when you ask.
How to ask
Ask the way you would ask a colleague who has read everything: name the person, company or project, and say what you want to know. "What did we promise Acme this month?" works better than "Acme promises". Dates help: "since the kickoff", "this month", "before the renewal".
An answer is a list of facts, each with a date and a source. When your assistant says "agreed by email, 3 Sep", that is a link you can open. If an answer is empty, check the Brain status before concluding that nothing happened: a source may still be building or not connected.
About a client or account
- What did we promise Acme this month that has not been delivered?
- Has Acme asked for anything outside the SOW?
- Who decides at Globex, and who went quiet?
- What did Halden ask for before renewing?
- Which accounts look at risk?
These draw on commitments, people and the account timeline. See Build a 360º brief of an account.
About a deal
- Why is the Globex deal stalled?
- Which deals mentioned a competitor this month?
- What did I promise Initech?
- What is blocking the Halden deal?
Answers combine calls, email and CRM records: the objection raised by the CFO, the open pricing question, the case study you still owe.
About a project or incident
- Who asked for SSO, and when?
- What is blocking the Atlas rollout?
- Why did checkout fall over on Tuesday?
- Is anyone else building a CSV importer?
With project and code tools connected, the answer follows the chain from request to ticket to pull request.
About people and the team
- What is Marta working on, and with whom?
- Who worked with Acme before I took it over?
- Prepare me for my 1:1 with Pedro.
Member cards and briefs gather meetings, tasks, companies and topics for each person, within what you are allowed to see.
About yourself
- What did I commit to this week?
- What is overdue?
- What happened in my accounts in the last seven days?
Commitments default to you. The activity view lists what happened in a window across every source.
About meetings
- Prepare me for the 3 pm call.
- What was decided in yesterday's standup?
- Summarise everything we discussed with Vantor since March.
Meeting preparation pulls attendees, their open commitments, previous reports with them and likely topics. See Prepare a meeting with your Brain.
Drafting with context
Once your assistant has the facts, it can write:
- "Write Acme's monthly update." Claude pulls the month's deliverables, open promises and scope changes and drafts the update with sources.
- "Write the follow-up for Globex." ChatGPT gets the CFO's objection, the open pricing question and the promised case study, and writes the email.
- "Draft the agenda for Thursday's call with Northwind."
Ready-made prompts over MCP
Clients that support MCP prompts see a few that Fivo provides: meeting prep, weekly digest, account review, one-on-one and decision log. Each chains the right questions for you.
What the Brain will not answer
It does not return the raw text of meetings or message bodies; it returns facts and points you to the original. It does not act on your systems; it is read-only. It does not know what you were never allowed to see. And it will tell you when a graph is still building or frozen rather than guess.
