OneNote is personal note-taking, and Fivo treats it that way: what it reads from your notebooks feeds your own graph only, and your meeting reports can be filed as pages in a section you choose.

What it adds to your Brain

Fivo reads the pages of the OneNote sections you pick: the page title, its content converted to plain text, and when it was last modified. OneNote does not record who wrote a page, so you, the owner of the connection, are recorded as the author of every page it brings in.

Fivo also writes. After a meeting, the report can be published as a new page in the section you chose, with the report sections rendered as text.

Example question your AI can then answer: "What did I note about the vendor comparison last month?"

Before you start

  • A Microsoft account with OneNote notebooks. Fivo signs in through Microsoft's standard sign-in page.
  • Nothing else to decide: OneNote always connects with personal scope. Its material is visible only to you, and that cannot be changed. See Connect your tools for what personal scope means.

Step by step

  1. Open Integrations in app.fivo.ai and find OneNote.
  2. Click Connect. Microsoft opens its sign-in and consent page. You approve permissions to read your profile, to read your notebooks, to create notes, and to stay connected without signing in again.
  3. Back in Fivo, open the integration's Configuration and choose:
    • Notebook (optional): filters the sections offered.
    • Section: where report pages will be created. This one is required.
  4. Save.
  5. To feed your graph, go to the Brain view, connect OneNote as a source and pick the sections to read. Fivo lists every section it can reach, named after its notebook and section group.

What happens next

Fivo reads the pages of each chosen section newest-first within the history window of the source, and shows progress in the Brain view. OneNote does not send change notifications, so there are no instant updates: sections are re-read on a regular schedule.

Everything OneNote brings in feeds your personal graph. Nobody else in your organization can see it, not even the owner. See Permissions: what your Brain can see.

Publishing a report does not depend on reading. The page is created in the chosen section under your account.

Disconnect

Open Integrations, select OneNote and click Disconnect. To stop reading but keep publishing, use Remove from graph in the Brain view: the pages it brought in leave your graph, and you can turn it back on later.

Troubleshooting

  • The section list is empty. If you picked a notebook, only its sections are listed. Clear the notebook to see every section, including those inside section groups.
  • A page's text is missing. Fivo reads the page content separately from its listing. If OneNote refuses the content of a page, Fivo keeps the title and continues with the rest.
  • Fivo asks you to reconnect. Connections made before Fivo could read OneNote only had permission to publish. Reconnecting adds the reading permission; publishing keeps working meanwhile.
