Bring the Notion pages and databases you share with Fivo into your Brain, and save meeting reports as Notion pages.

Notion is where many teams write specs, decisions and plans. Connected to Fivo, those pages become sources in your graph, and your meeting reports can land in Notion without anyone copying them.

What it adds to your Brain

Fivo reads the pages and databases you shared with it in Notion: the page text (including nested blocks), database rows, who created and last edited each page, and the comments on it. Each page becomes one episode in the graph, so a long spec turns into a few facts with the page as their source.

Fivo also writes to Notion. After a meeting, the report can be saved as a new page under the parent page you choose, with headings such as Summary, Main Idea, Action Items (as to-do items), Challenges and Next Steps. You can turn on instant delivery so the report is created as soon as the meeting ends, for your own meetings or for meetings you are invited to.

Example question your AI can then answer: "What did the onboarding spec say about SSO, and who edited it last?"

Before you start

  • A Notion account with access to the pages you want Fivo to read.
  • The right to connect sources with organization scope if you want colleagues to see them (only the organization owner can). See Connect your tools.
  • Decide which pages to share with Fivo. Notion only exposes the pages you pick on its authorization screen.

Step by step

  1. Open Integrations in app.fivo.ai and find Notion. Use the search box if the list is long.
  2. Click Connect. Notion opens its authorization page and asks which pages to share with Fivo. Pick the pages or databases you want it to read and write under, then confirm.
  3. Back in Fivo you see the confirmation that the connection was successful. Fivo picks a default parent page and creates a page called "Welcome to Fivo" there, so you can check right away where reports will go.
  4. In the integration's Configuration, choose:
    • Parent page: the page your reports will be created under.
    • Page or database to read (optional): what feeds your graph.
    • Instant report delivery for your meetings and for meetings you are invited to, if you want reports sent automatically.
  5. Save. To bring Notion into the graph, go to the Brain view, connect it as a source and choose its scope.

What happens next

Fivo lists what it can read, then reads the shared pages newest-first within the history window of your source. You can watch progress in the Brain view, from "Queued to read" to done. Afterwards the pages are re-read on a regular schedule. Notion's webhooks only tell Fivo that something changed, not what, so updates arrive with the next read rather than instantly.

Notion cannot tell Fivo who is allowed to open a page. With organization scope, material from Notion is visible to the organization owner and to the people recorded as the page's author or editor. With personal scope only you see it. See Permissions: what your Brain can see.

Sharing a report works in the other direction and does not depend on reading: a report page is created under the parent page you chose, by the account that connected Notion.

Disconnect

Open Integrations, select Notion and click Disconnect. Reports stop being sent and Fivo stops reading. To stop reading but keep sharing, use Remove from graph in the Brain view: Fivo stops reading Notion and what it already brought in leaves your graph. You can turn it back on later.

Troubleshooting

  • A page is missing from the list. Fivo only sees pages you shared with it on Notion's authorization screen. Update the access in Notion as described above, then reconnect or re-read.
  • A page you chose shows as unreachable. Notion answers the same way for a page in the trash and for a page the connection was never shown. Restore the page or share it again.
  • Comments or editors are missing. Reading content, comments and people are separate permissions in Notion. If one was not granted, Fivo reads what it can and skips the rest.
  • Fivo asks you to reconnect. Connections made before Fivo could read Notion only had permission to share. Sharing keeps working; reconnecting adds reading.
